COVID-19 UPDATES: Keeping Visitors Healthy

Wi-Fi is currently Out of Service in our Campground due to a storm knocking the router out. We are in the process of getting it replaced. Please be patient with us.

Wi-Fi is available at our Conference Center beside Park Headquarters. Exit the Campground and turn left. Take the third road to your right; the Conference Center is located at the top of the hill on the left. Wi-Fi Password will be located on the bulletin board to the right of the game room entrance.
 

Tennessee State Parks are open for day-use visitors and overnight guests. We do provide travel tips and FAQs for those wishing to visit our parks. Availability of inventory for online booking may be lower than normal as the park pursues social distancing. 

Certain parks or areas of parks may close if they reach capacity. Events may have limited capacity. Park hours may vary from normal operations in response to COVID-19.

Venues

Roan Mountain - Meeting Rooms

The conference center is a popular location for meetings and small conferences. Facilities are available for rent year round.

The center has a large meeting room that is approximately 60’ x 39’ or 2340 sq. ft. The room can be divided into two smaller rooms. The room has a large rock fireplace and a panoramic view of the mountains. A catering kitchen is available with an icemaker, full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave and a warming/holding cabinet. Tables and chairs may be set up according to each group’s specifications.

In addition to the meeting rooms, the conference center hosts a spacious lobby area and a public game room. The game room, lobby area and the restrooms are open to the public and the building is handicapped accessible.

Chestnut Ridge Overlook at Roan Mountain

$129 per day

The Chestnut Ridge Overlook at Roan Mountain State Park is a beautiful outdoor venue that features breathtaking views of the Highlands of Roan! The platform only can accommodate a handful of people, so it makes the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. There are not restrooms and there is no electricity at the overlook.

Roan Mountain Amphitheater

$129 per day

The Amphitheater at Roan Mountain State Park is the perfect venue for an outdoor event. The capacity is 100 people with bench seating. It is surrounded by a beautifully wooded area and features electricity, restrooms nearby, and ample parking.
