The Tea Room is a popular venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions, company dinners, and catered events. Built during the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Tea Room offers old fashioned charm with modern convenience. The building features a two-tier floor plan, cathedral ceilings, a huge stone fireplace and a large wooden deck that overlooks the woods and when the trees are dormant Norris Lake. With the open amphitheater just across the street and cabin accommodations within walking distance, it is a one-stop location for these happy events.

• Accessed by a four-step dropdown 
• Kitchen furnished with a residential freezer, refrigerator, and ovens. We do not furnish any dishes, flatware, or glasses.

TABLES and CHAIRS

There are 10 long tables. Each seats six and is 20" X 72". Seating is provided by ladderback chairs and benches on the upper tier. There are an additional four long folding tables in the building. We do not move in or move out tables and additional tables are available from outside vendors. Seating for about 100 persons is the maximum we recommend.

About the Norris Dam Meeting Rooms

Norris Dam State Park has two meeting rooms, the Appalachian Event Center and the Conference Room. Located in the west section on the park they can accommodate 15 to 75 people and may be reserved up to one year in advance. For more information about these locations please contact the park office at 865-425-4500.

Appalachian Event Center at Norris Dam

The Appalachian Event Center is a perfect venue for large business meetings, bridal and baby showers as well as family reunions. The Event Center is located near a recreation hall, basketball court, tennis court, and a small playground. The Event Center is equipped with a kitchen and a unisex restroom. A projection screen is also available.

Norris Dam Conference Room

If you need to get your employees out of their office setting, but still need to get work done, the Conference Room at Norris Dam State Park can host your small business meeting. Located within the Park office the Conference Rooms can seat 15 comfortably but can accommodate up to 25. For an additional charge refreshments can be provided, please let us know at the time of reservation if this service is needed.
