Pickwick Landing State Park has five picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. The shelters are equipped with picnic tables, a grill, and access to restrooms.
Shelter 1
Located atop of a lovely rolling hillside, Shelter 1 has views of the marina and Lodge. A paved walking trail makes this shelter easily accessible from the Lodge and its large trees provide plenty of cool shade in the summer months. The surrounding grounds create lots of open space for activities. The shelter has a built-in, extra-large charcoal grill with picnic tables water and electric and nearby restrooms. Capacity with adjacent space is approximately 125 people.
Shelter 2
One of our venues with the most stunning views, Shelter 2 overlooks both Pickwick Lake and Pickwick Dam. Sunset views are particularly stunning from this vantage point. For an additional fee, the adjacent beach area may also be rented and the area made inaccessible to other park guests. The shelter has a fire pit, water and electric, adjacent restrooms and parking, and a lighted flag pole. Capacity with adjacent space is approximately 300 people.
Shelter 4
Shelter 4 offers a beautiful view of Pickwick Lake and is beside a peninsula. The area is both wooded and sunny. For an additional fee, this venue can be added to Shelter 5, which is just around the corner, creating additional space as need requires. Although there is no water and electric the venue offers beautiful views, nearby parking includes the peninsula. Capacity with adjacent space is 100 people.
Shelter 5
Another beautiful venue, Shelter 5 offers lake views from a wooded hilltop. A large area surrounding the shelter ensures plenty of room for your group. Should you need more space, you may add Shelter 4, which adjoins Shelter 5. An additional rental fee will apply. This shelter has water and electric, nearby parking and a non-working stone fireplace. Capacity with adjacent space is approximately 100 people.
Shelter 6
The most charming venue of them all, Shelter 6 is nestled in a wooded area on a grassy lot with a small glimpse of the lake, depending on the season. This venue is near the boat launch area so it can be a busy place at certain times of the year. The stone and timber shelter was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. The classic shelter has water, nearby parking and restrooms and a historical marker. Capacity is up to 30 people.
Reservations may be made by calling the park Lodge at 731-689-3135.

There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations canceled 8 days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations canceled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.
