Booker T. Washington State Park

The Booker T. Washington State Park pool will not reopen as of Summer, 2022. Unfortunately, the pool is approximately 30 years old and visitation is extremely low. Due to these factors, Tennessee State Parks can no longer justify to Tennessee taxpayers the costs associated with keeping this pool in operation. However, we are excited to have the opportunity to invest in a more fiscally responsible outdoor recreation option Booker T. Washington State Park that would provide year-round benefits.

Group Lodges

Tuskegee Airmen Group Lodge

Sunday - Thursday: (Year Round) $221. Capacity 50 people. Minimum stay 2 nights; 7 nights during summer.
Friday - Saturday: (Year Round) $348. Capacity 50 people. Minimum stay 2 nights; 7 nights during summer.

The Tuskegee Airmen Group Lodge consists of three buildings. There are two dormitory-style barracks that sleep 25 on each side. This is ideal for groups that need separate sleeping areas for the boys and girls. The third building, the General Chappie James Assembly Hall, has a full kitchen and dining area with a fireplace.

There is also a covered pavilion with a large pit grill that comes with this facility rental. The Group Lodge is available year-round. 

Please note: Stays of seven days or longer during peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) have priority and can be made one year in advance. Memorial Day and Labor Day require at least a three (3) night reservation. Short-term reservations for two (2) nights or more must be booked after March 1 of that year.
