Tims Ford State Park

The Tims Ford State Park pool will not reopen as of Summer, 2022. Unfortunately, the pool is 45 years old, visitation has been in an overall decline, and lake swimming opportunities are available. Due to these factors, Tennessee State Parks can no longer justify to Tennessee taxpayers the costs associated with keeping this pool in operation. However, we are excited to have the opportunity to invest in a more fiscally responsible outdoor recreation option Tims Ford State Park that would provide year-round benefits.

Cabins

Located on the Tims Ford Reservoir, Tims Ford State Park cabins sit in the shadows of the Cumberland Plateau on the shores of Tims Ford Lake in south-central Tennessee. Cabin guests will enjoy one of the most picturesque lakes in Tennessee, one that is also regarded as one of the top bass fishing and recreational lakes in the Southeast. Park activities include hunting, boating, hiking, golfing, biking, fishing, and birding. In close proximity to the cabins, is the Blue Gill Grill and the Holiday Landing Resort as well as nearby attractions such as Historic Winchester and the Jack Daniels Distillery. Overall, the variety of activities and amenities offered make Tims Ford State Park cabins a great vacation spot for all ages.

Deluxe Two-Bedroom Cabins

Rates: $149 — $298 Taxes and fees are not included. Rates subject to change. $5 reservation fee per cabin is non-refundable. $10 cancellation fee per cabin applies. Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins. There is an additional charge of $20 per night, per pet.

The park has 20 two-bedroom, one-bath cabins situated on the wooded slopes of Tims Ford Lake. The cabins are equipped with oven, stove, microwave, full-size refrigerator, cooking and serving utensils, coffee maker, toaster and linens. Every cabin features a seasonal gas fireplace, outdoor balcony, a charcoal grill and one TV with 12 channels of DirecTV.

  • Cabins 2 to 13 have two bedrooms; one with a king bed and the second with two full beds. (Occupancy = 6)
  • Cabins 14 to 19 have two bedrooms: both bedrooms have two full beds. (Occupancy = 8)
  • ADA Cabins 1 & 20 have two bedrooms: one with a full bed and the other with two full beds. (Occupancy = 6)
  • Our pet-friendly cabins are Cabins 1, 9, 13, 14.
Cabin discounts are only available on reservations made within 30 days of arrival date. Only one discount per cabin. Each discounted cabin must be occupied by a discount-eligible guest. Cabins are available by reservation year-round with a two-night minimum (holidays and other special events may require longer minimum stays) and can be reserved up to a year in advance online with reservations being made through the park office up to two years in advance. Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM. Pets are only permitted in pet-friendly cabins.

Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 through November 30 in any cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 to February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights. Any request for stay lengths beyond these limits must be approved by the Director of Operations or the Director of Hospitality.

Pet Policy
