Roan Mountain State Park cabins are located on TN Hwy 143 at the base of the majestic 6,285 Roan Mountain, only a 20 minutes drive to the iconic views and rhododendron gardens at Carvers Gap. Roan Mountain cabins are surrounded by rich hardwood forests and the cool, clear Doe River. Cabin guests can hike along the creeks and ridges, tour the century-old Miller Farmstead or enjoy cross-country skiing in the winter months. Other activities include biking, fishing, and hiking. Cabin visitors also have access to the Roan Mountain Park’s museum and interpretive center, tennis courts, and children’s playground. Roan Mountain cabins are also in close proximity to picnic pavilions that may be reserved for group gatherings. Standard Two-Bedroom Cabins

Rates: $104 — $312 Taxes and fees are not included. Rates subject to change. $5 reservation fee per cabin is non-refundable. $10 cancellation fee per cabin applies. Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins. There is an additional charge of $20 per night, per pet.
Thirty standard cabins are situated in the woods of Roan Mountain State Park. Each cabin has a front porch with rocking chairs, a full bath with tub/shower, a wood-burning stove, and HVAC. Bedding and towels are provided by the park. Linen exchange is available for a fee of $20 but must be paid upon your arrival. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, and basic cooking and eating utensils.
- Cabins 1-20 provide utensils for four people.
- Cabins 21-30 provide utensils for six people.
None of the cabins have televisions. Wi-Fi service is not available at the cabins. Wi-Fi service is available for cabin guests at the conference center/game room at the park office. All cabins have landline telephones available. There is also a cell phone booster at the park office that Verizon Wireless customers may use to assist with cell service.
- Cabins 1-20 have a private bedroom with a queen bed and an upstairs loft with two twin beds. These can sleep up to four people.
- Cabins 21-30 have a private bedroom with a queen bed and a loft with two queen beds. These can sleep up to six people.

Cabin pathways are not accessible by vehicles. Carts are provided in the cabin parking areas for transporting your luggage, and the longest distance is approximately 200 yards.
Cabins are available by reservation year-round with a two-night minimum (holidays and other special events may require longer minimum stays) and can be reserved up to a year in advance online with reservations being made through the park office up to two years in advance for groups with five cabins or more. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.. Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins.
Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 through November 30 in any cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 to February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights. Any request for stay lengths beyond these limits must be approved by the Director of Operations or the Director of Hospitality.
Firewood is not provided for the cabins. It is available for purchase at the park office. If guests choose to bring their own firewood, it must be certified heat-treated. Guest should refrain from bringing untreated wood into the park. Certified heat-treated wood is clearly marked with a state/federal seal.
