Pickett CCC Memorial State Park

Cabins

Located within the 20,887-acre Pickett State Forest and adjacent to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Park, Pickett cabins are surrounded by miles of hiking trails and acres of recreational areas. Known for its initial development by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), Pickett offers dozens of activities and events for cabin guests. Some of these activities include dark sky viewing, swimming, boating, hiking, and fishing. In addition, the cabins are close in proximity to the Pickett CCC Museum, which features interpretive exhibits depicting the Civilian Conservation Corps’ contributions to Tennessee’s parks and natural areas, as well as the Brandy Creek Stables, and the Big South Fork Scenic Railway. No matter the time of the year, Pickett cabin guests are offered a variety of activities and amenities, making Pickett Park State Park cabins the perfect vacation spot for people of all ages.

Deluxe Three-Bedroom Cabins

Category: Deluxe
Rates: $138 — $276 Taxes and fees are not included. Rates subject to change. $5 reservation fee per cabin is non-refundable. $10 cancellation fee per cabin applies. Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins. There is an additional charge of $20 per night, per pet.

The Deluxe cabins have three bedrooms with four beds to sleep up to 8 people. The master bedroom has one king-sized bed, the second bedroom has one king-sized bed, and the third bedroom has two double beds. These cabins also have a kitchen, dining room, living room, two bathrooms, and an open-air covered porch on the back of the cabin. They are equipped with cooking utensils, linens, and two televisions with streaming cable service. The units have central heat and air conditioning as well as a gas fireplace.

Cabins #19 and #20 are pet-friendly.

Cabins are available by reservation year-round with a two-night minimum (holidays and other special events may require longer minimum stays) and can be reserved up to a year in advance online. 

Maximum consecutive stay from March 1 through November 30 in any cabin is 14 nights. From December 1 to February 29, the maximum stay is 28 nights. Any request for stay lengths beyond these limits must be approved by the Director of Operations or the Director of Hospitality.


Standard Cabins

Rates: $94 — $232 Taxes and fees are not included. Rates subject to change. $5 reservation fee per cabin is non-refundable. $10 cancellation fee per cabin applies. Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins. There is an additional charge of $20 per night, per pet.

Two of our standard cabins (#'s 8 and 10) have two bedrooms. Each of the two bedrooms has one double bed.

Three of our standard cabins (#'s 6, 7, and 9) have three bedrooms. One room with a king bed and two rooms with double beds. 

The standard cabins also have a kitchen, bathroom, and dining room/living room. These cabins are equipped with cooking utensils. Each of these cabins has central heat and air conditioning. They also have a fireplace, which can be used year-round. Guests can purchase certified heat-treated firewood from the park or are welcome to bring their own certified heat-treated firewood. These cabins do not have a television or telephone. These cabins sleep 4-6 people.

Historic CCC Wood Shingle Cabins

Rates: $123 — $273 Taxes and fees are not included. Rates subject to change. $5 reservation fee per cabin is non-refundable. $10 cancellation fee per cabin applies. Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly cabins. There is an additional charge of $20 per night, per pet.

The historic wood shingle cabins are #1 and #4. These cabins have one king-size bed in the living room/bedroom area and accommodate up to two people. The historic CCC cabins have screened-in porches and charcoal grills, and picnic tables located near each cabin.

The Civilian Conservation Corps built these cabins in the 1930s as part of Roosevelt's famed New Deal Program during the Great Depression. All of the historic CCC cabins have one bathroom and are equipped with central heat and air conditioning, cooking utensils, and linens. Each of the CCC cabins has a fireplace, which can be used year-round. Guests can purchase certified heat-treated firewood from the park or are welcome to bring their own certified heat-treated firewood. These cabins are not equipped with a television or telephone, and due to limited space, this cabin does not come with a dining table, microwave, or toaster.

Historic CCC Stone Cabins

The historic CCC stone cabins are # 2, #3, and #5. These cabins have a full-size bed in the bedroom and a full-size bed in the living room and accommodate up to four people. The historic CCC cabins have screened-in porches and charcoal grills, and picnic tables located near each cabin. Cabins #2 and #5 have exterior stone patios in addition to the screened-in porches. Cabin #3 is the only stone cabin that does not have a stone patio.
