Fishing

Old Big Hill Pond is a cypress lined pond created in 1853 during levy construction for the Memphis Charleston Railroad. It can be accessed by following the gravel road that passes in front of the park office. At the split of the road, take a left. The pond is only fishable by boat. Electric motors or paddles only.
Fishing at Big Hill Pond is boat access only, as it is only accessible by boat due to the swampy marsh that surrounds the 35 acre pond. Only electric motors are allowed. The boat ramp can accommodate up to 20-foot bass boats as long as vehicle have four-wheel drive and are large enough to pull boats up the steep ramp. Daily creel limits for Black Bass are 10 with no length limit.
