2020 COVID-19 Update

Most state park boat rental operations will open this summer. Hours and operating procedures will vary by park. Each park will implement additional safety and sanitation protocols to protect park staff and visitors and encourage social distancing. All boaters are encouraged to bring their own life jacket or approved personal floatation device (PFD).


The boat ramp can accommodate up to 20-foot bass boats as long as vehicle have four-wheel drive and are large enough to pull boats up the steep ramp. Daily creel limits for Black Bass are 10 with no length limit. Electric motors only are permitted on the lake.

Old Big Hill Pond is a cypress lined pond created in 1853 during levy construction for the Memphis Charleston Railroad. It is not accessible by vehicle and only bank fishing is allowed.
