Henderson, TN
Rich in history and steeped in tradition, Henderson embraces the small-town values and volunteer spirit that make Tennessee great. This quaint small town was originally a railroad stop in the 1850s and has a large historical significance. During the Civil War, the town and its railroad depot were operated by the Confederate State of America and later by the Union until it was attacked by Confederate guerrillas, who burned it to the ground. The women of the town extinguished the fire and aided the Union troops.
