The lakeshores and woods at Pickwick Landing State Park provide a relaxing vacation destination packed with outdoor activities. Sitting on the shores of Pickwick Lake, the opportunities for water recreation are endless. The park offers a sandy swim beach, boating, paddling, exceptional fishing, and incredible birding opportunities. With an on-site marina offering boat and paddling rentals, everyone can join the fun. In addition to water sports, the park also features an 18-hole golf course, a challenging disc golf course, nature trails, and tennis. The newly renovated Lodge at Pickwick Landing sits at the center of it all offering comfortable rooms with private balconies overlooking Pickwick Lake. The Lodge also offers an on-site restaurant and lounge serving guests and park visitors classic favorites and a selection of local beers, wines, and craft cocktails.

Pickwick Landing - Birding Birding
Birding

Pickwick Landing is one of the best state parks in west Tennessee for winter birding. With a spotting scope, scan the reservoir for grebes, loons, gulls and ducks. Hundreds to thousands of ring-billed gulls and American coots are a common site. Common loons, pied-billed and horned grebes are also commonly seen. Over 145 species of birds have been identified in the park. For more park and nearby birding locations, view flyer.

All types of boats are allowed at Pickwick Landing. There are two public boat ramps in the park, each of which is available free of charge. The park also has a full-service marina located on the south bank of the Tennessee River. Kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and pontoon boats are available for rent at our park.

The Pickwick Landing Disc Golf Course begins next to the Inn and finishes with a beautiful view of Pickwick Lake.

Paws Landing Dog Park is located inside Pickwick Landing State Park near the Lodge at Pickwick Landing. This facility is open to park visitors and overnight guests who obtain a paws pass from the park.

The park is located on the Tennessee River at mile marker 207.6. Below the dam is Pickwick Lake, a reservoir of the Tennessee River with fisheries similar to those listed for Kentucky Lake.
