Don't put your plans on hold due to the heat. There are tons of unique adventures at Tennessee State Parks to keep you cool this summer! Below are some of our top parks with air-conditioned overnight stays and plenty of water activities. Each of these parks have *pools open to cabin and lodge guests.

*These are hotel-style pools that are not supervised by lifeguards. These pools are open through Labor Day to cabin and lodge guests only.

Montgomery Bell State Park is located 40 minutes west of Nashville in Burns, Tennessee.

TRIP TIP: Lodge rooms are more available in August than cabins. The Lodge was fully renovated in 2020 and offers an on-site restaurant, lounge, and lakefront guest rooms with private balconies.

Natchez Trace State Park is located 40 minutes northeast of Jackson in Wildersville, Tennessee.

Pickwick Landing State Park sits on the shores of Pickwick Lake in Counce, Tennessee. It's located 2 hours east of Memphis and 1 hour southeast of Jackson.
