This holiday Amazon is giving you a way to give back to Tennessee State Parks through online shopping at no cost to you! AmazonSmile provides a simple way for you to shop for the same items at the same price you would on Amazon.com with the bonus of supporting your favorite charitable organization. With 14 Tennessee State Parks Friends Groups registered as charities on AmazonSmiles, you can choose a specific park to donate to or give to the Friends of Tennessee State Parks.
Below are all of the Friends Groups you can choose to donate to:
- The Friends of Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park
- The Friends of Radnor Lake State Park
- The Friends of Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park
- The Friends of Cedars of Lebanon State Park
- The Friends of South Cumberland State Park
- The Friends of Harrison Bay State Park
- The Friends of Seven Islands State Birding Park
- The Friends of Reelfoot Lake State Park
- The Friends of Nathan Bedford Forest State Park
- The Friends of Long Hunter State Park
- The Friends of Norris Dam State Park
- The Friends of Rocky Fork State Park
- The Friends of Bledsoe Creek State Park
- The Friends of Tennessee State Parks
Here's how to donate while you shop on AmazonSmile:
- Go to https://smile.amazon.com/. AmazonSmile offers all of the same items, prices, and benefits of its sister website, Amazon.com, with the added benefit of charity donation.
- If you already have an Amazon account, when you click on smile.amazon.com, you will be asked to sign in. If you don't have an account, you will need to set one up. It doesn't cost anything to set up an Amazon account.
- There is a fee if you set up an AmazonPrime account.
- Once signed into smile.amazon.com, you will be prompted to pick a charity. You can type in the name of the participating Friends Group you'd like to give to. Once you do that, a percentage of your purchase price on many, but not all, items will be donated to that Friends Group.
- You must remember to go to smile.amazon.com each time you shop for all of this to work. So, consider bookmarking the site.
