This weekend kicks off Independence Day celebrations in our parks. It’s a time for freedom, family, and fireworks. Together we remember the founding principles of this great nation. What better place to do that than on the public lands which exist to connect you - the people - to the great outdoors?
Grab your tent, rent a cabin, snag an inn room or come visit for the day and take advantage of the holiday week. Check out our list of special events, pontoon cruises and firework displays that are sure to put you in the patriotic spirit:
Fireworks at Parks
Paris Landing State Park
July 4, 2018
Come out to Paris Landing State Park amphitheater starting at 2pm for a fun filled day for the whole family. Food Vendors, Music and all sorts of other activities will be available for your enjoyment in the hours leading up to the fireworks show, which starts at 9pm.
Places to eat: Check out the Riverboat Restaurant for lakeside dining during your visit.
Pickwick Landing State Park
July 4, 2018
Pickwick Landing State Park, located just north of the Mississippi line, is another great fireworks destination on the Tennessee River. The park is partnering with Tour Hardin County and the Friends of Pickwick Landing State Park to bring you a night of fireworks on the lake. Expect to find all day fun at the park leading up to the fireworks at 9PM.
Places to eat: Check out the Captain's Galley Restaurant for lakeside dining during your visit to the park.

Hiwassee/Ocoee State Park

Veterans and active duty service members are invited to a special opportunity on the Hiwassee/Ocoee River. Enjoy some of the best whitewater rafting in the south, free of charge! Contact any of the whitewater outfitters listed before July 1st to reserve your spot. (Photo: Digital Ocoee)

Pontoon Tours & Cruises
Reelfoot Lake State Park
June 30 - July 7, 2018
Let us indulge you in a relaxing cruise around one of Tennessee’s most beautiful natural areas at Reelfoot Lake State Park. We allow food and drinks, so pack a picnic and enjoy your tour around the lake. Cruises are offered every day from 9am-12pm, and weekend cruises are offered from 1:30-2:30pm and 3-4pm. For an extra treat, come out for one of our Saturday sunset cruises, starting at 6 pm. Prices vary per cruise and per person.
