July 4 Celebrations

This weekend kicks off Independence Day celebrations in our parks. It’s a time for freedom, family, and fireworks. Together we remember the founding principles of this great nation. What better place to do that than on the public lands which exist to connect you - the people - to the great outdoors?

Grab your tent, rent a cabin, snag an inn room or come visit for the day and take advantage of the holiday week. Check out our list of special events, pontoon cruises and firework displays that are sure to put you in the patriotic spirit:

Spend Time in/on the Water

Beat the heat this Fourth of July at one of our pools. There are sixteen pools across the state that offer public swimming and are great ways to cool off during your stay at the park.

Nothing says summer quite like floating on the water. We offer a variety of rental options ranging from canoes and kayaks to pontoon boats. Tennessee State Parks are also great places to enjoy a relaxing day of fishing. Learn more about paddling, boating, and fishing in our parks.

Book Your Visit

If you are looking for a place to stay and enjoy some holiday time with the family, we have campgrounds, cabins and inn rooms available across the state. Maybe you just want to rent one of our picnic shelters and spend the day grilling out with the family. Whatever way you want to celebrate, our parks have something for everyone.
