Tims Ford State Park
Location:
Middle, TN (Winchester, TN) – 1.5 hours northwest of Chattanooga and southeast of Nashville.
Tims Ford sits on one of the most picturesque lakes in Tennessee and is regarded as one of the top bass fishing and recreational lakes in the Southeast. There are eight public boat ramps, two marinas, over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails, and a Bear Trace 18-hole golf course. The campsites are spacious and some sit right on the lake.

Natchez Trace State Park
Location:
West, TN (Wildersville, TN) – 35 minutes northeast of Jackson, TN. 1 hour and 45 minutes from Clarksville, TN.
Natchez Trace is a quiet park that feels like a true wilderness escape. The Pin Oak Campground offers 77 level gravel sites with full hookups that can accommodate RVs up to 80 feet in length. Sites on the outer edge of the campground have gorgeous views of Pin Oak Lake. The park offers over 40 miles of hiking trails, fishing, swimming, boating, paddling, a firing range, and much more.

Montgomery Bell State Park
Location:
Middle, TN (Burns, TN) – 40 minutes west of Nashville. 50 minutes south of Clarksville, TN.
Montgomery Bell is a beautiful park just outside the hustle and bustle of Nashville. The campsites run alongside a peaceful stream and watchable wildlife is abundant in the surrounding woods. The campground offers 40 level gravel sites with full hookups. The park offers three lakes, paddling, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, dining at the Lodge, and an 18-hole golf course.

Indian Mountain State Park
Location:
East, TN (Jellico, TN) – 1 hour northwest of Knoxville. 2 hours south of Lexington, KY.
Indian Mountain State Park makes a great home base for exploring multiple parks in East Tennessee. The 203-acre park offers fishing, paddling, and hiking. The campground offers 47 level asphalt pad sites with full hookups.

Fall Creek Falls State Park
Location:
Middle, TN (Spencer, TN) – 1 hour south of Cookeville. 1 hour 10 minutes north of Chattanooga.
Fall Creek Falls is home to one of the tallest waterfalls east of the Mississippi. The 250-foot plunge draws visitors from all over the country every year. In addition to the spectacular Fall Creek Falls, multiple other waterfalls can be viewed at the park, as well as cascades and sweeping overlooks. The park also offers an iconic swinging bridge, an 18-hole golf course, fishing, boating, paddling, swimming, rock climbing, and a canopy challenge course. The Lodge at Fall Creek Falls offers a restaurant and lounge with indoor and outdoor seating. The campground is made of five areas, three of which offer sites with full hookups.

David Crockett Birthplace State Park
Location:
East, TN (Limestone, TN) – 1.5 hours northeast of Knoxville. 35 minutes southwest of Johnson City, TN.
David Crockett Birthplace commemorates the birthplace of famous pioneer, soldier, and politician, David Crockett. The park sits just upstream from the falls of the scenic Nolichucky River which provides opportunities for paddling and fishing. Inside the park, you’ll find an 18th-century living farmstead, replica cabin, limestone marker, and visitor center exhibits. The campground offers 54 sites with full hookups that can accommodate large RVs.

Cumberland Mountain State Park
Location:
Middle, TN (Crossville, TN) – 45 minutes southeast of Cookeville. 2 hours east of Nashville.
Cumberland Mountain State Park began as a New Deal-era initiative and was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). As a result, Cumberland Mountain is home to the largest CCC structure ever built – a dam/bridge- that is the centerpiece of the park. This is a great place for visitors to step back in time and learn about the New Deal era of American history. Visitors can also enjoy paddling, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, golf, and on-site dining. The Area 1 of the campground offers 13 paved sites with full hookups and Area 5 offers 3 paved sites with full hookups.

Chickasaw State Park
Location:
West, TN (Henderson, TN) – 30 minutes south of Jackson, TN. 1.5 hours northeast of Memphis.
Chickasaw State Park sits on some of the highest terrains in West Tennessee. It’s located just south of Jackson and offers incredible hiking, a way to cool off in Lake Placid, horseback riding, and even hunting and ATV riding opportunities on over 14,000 acres of nearby forestry land. The *RV campground offers 26 paved sites with full hookups.
