4 Tennessee State Parks Offer Mother’s Day Meals

NASHVILLE – Tennessee State Parks will have Mother’s Day meals May 8 at restaurants at Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville, Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, David Crockett State Park in Lawrenceburg, and Natchez Trace State Park in Lexington.

“We want everyone to know state parks are a great way to enjoy a family outing for Mother’s Day,” said Jim Bryson, deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. “It’s an opportunity to show Mom how much you care about her, enjoy a nice meal and enjoy the surroundings of the outdoors on a spring day.”  

The meals for each park include:

Cumberland Mountain State Park

Homestead Harvest Restaurant

Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8

11 a.m.-5 p.m., first come first served, reservations not required

$21.95 per adult, plus tax, tip and drink

Menu: Honey-baked ham, roasted turkey, southern sides, cornbread dressing full salad bar, desserts including famous homemade banana pudding.

Montgomery Bell State Park

Self-serve buffet

Adults $26.95, children 12-and-under $14.95, not including tax, gratuity and drinks

18 percent gratuity for parties of eight or more

Menu: Baked ham, catfish, fried chicken, green beans, turnip greens, fried okra, hush puppies, desserts; beverages tea, lemonade, coffee.
