National Trails Day Hike
Saturday, June 4, 2022
The first Saturday in June is our annual day to celebrate hiking trails in Tennessee. This is one of four signature hikes we host every year. Tennessee State Parks are offering a variety of ranger-led day hikes, night hikes, history hikes, nature hikes, or trail clean-up hikes. With more than 1,300 miles of trails ranging from easy, paved trails to rugged backcountry trails to scenic waterways we have something for everyone.
This year is going to be extra special since we are celebrating the 30th Annual National Trails Day and the 85th Anniversary of Tennessee State Parks!
Join us as we celebrate 85 years of protecting and preserving Tennessee's resources. May 21st, 2022 marks the 85th Anniversary of Tennessee State Parks. With 56 parks across the state that are home to over 1,300 miles of trails, 80+ waterfalls, 5 lodges, 36 campgrounds, and 372 cabins, there is something for everyone!
What better way to celebrate Tennessee State Park’s 85th Anniversary than with a hike? Each Park will be hosting a hike in honor of the 85th Anniversary and National Trails Day on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Some parks will also be hosting special celebrations post-hike, be sure to find a park near you and read the event description to see what fun the Rangers have planned!
Celebrate Tennessee State Parks by trail today! As you attend a hike, make sure to take and upload photos of your adventures to your favorite social media channel and tag #TSP85 and #NationalTrailsDay.
