BURN BAN EFFECTIVE NOV 14 – DEC 15
Governor Haslam has issued a burn ban that prohibits campfires and burning of brush, vegetation, trash and building materials. A violation of a burn ban is punishable as a Class A misdemeanor, which carries a fine of $2,500 and/or up to 11 months, 29 days in jail. Tennessee State Parks desires that all visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. Please adhere to the burn ban for the safety of yourself, other visitors, and the natural resources we preserve. Some parks have issued burn bans or trail closures above and beyond the Governor's ban. Contact the park directly if you have questions about allowable activities.

Sgt. Alvin C. York State Park has 2 picnic shelters/pavilions that may be reserved for your next event or gathering. The maximum capacity of each is 50 people. The shelters are equipped with picnic tables, a grill and access to restrooms. Both shelters also are near a playground.
Full day shelter reservations may be made online or by calling the park.
Picnic shelters or pavilions may be reserved online up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee. There is a $3.00 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled 8 days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled 7 days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.Reserve Now
