Fort Loudoun State Historic Park

SOLAR ECLIPSE UPDATE: On Monday, August 21 the entrance gate will open at 8:00 A.M.  Visitors with reservations will need to bring their reservation confirmation for parking and to pick-up eclipse viewing glasses. There will be a limited quantity of additional eclipse viewing glasses and parking which will be available for first come first serve.  Interpreters and astronomers will be at the fort explaining historical and scientific aspects of solar eclipses. Several food vendors will be on site selling food and drinks; bottled water will also be available to purchase. Park staff asks for everyone's patience as roads will be busy and the park will be experiencing high visitation.

Fort Loudoun State Park has one picnic shelter/pavilion that may be reserved by the day for your next event or gathering. The maximum capacity is 64 people. The shelter is equipped with picnic tables, a grill and access to restrooms. This shelter overlooks the Tellico River. 

Reservations may be made online or by calling the park up to one year in advance with a paid reservation fee. There is a $5 cancellation fee for picnic shelter or pavilion reservations cancelled eight days or more in advance of the reserved date. Reservations cancelled seven days or less in advance of the reserved date forfeit all paid fees.
