Lenoir Museum Closure: The Lenoir Museum at Norris Dam State Park will be getting new windows and carpet. Due to the construction dust and movement of artifacts, we will be closing the museum to the public November and December. Thank you for your patience while we make these improvements.

Norris Dam - Meeting and Conference Rooms

Norris Dam State Park has two meeting rooms located in the west section on the park that can accommodate 15 to 75 people. Prices range from $50 to $100. These meeting rooms may be reserved up to one year in advance. For more information about these locations please contact the park office at 865-426-7461 or toll free at 1-800-543-9335.

Tea Room - Seats approximately 100 people 
The Tea Room is a popular venue for weddings ceremonies and receptions, company dinners and catered events. With the open amphitheater just across the street and cabin accommodations within walking distance, it is a one stop location for these happy events. The Tea Room may be rented for $250, by the day, Monday through Thursday. Weekend rental is $1200 for Friday through Sunday as it requires a 3-day minimum.

Built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the Tea Room offers old fashioned charm with modern convenience. The building features a two tier floor plan, cathedral ceilings, a huge stone fireplace and a large wooden deck that overlooks the woods and Norris Lake when the trees are dormant.

Lower Tier - 23'x37'

  • Accessed by a four step drop down 
  • Kitchen furnished with a residential freezer, refrigerator and ovens. We do not furnish any dishes, flatware or glasses.

Tables and Chairs
There are 10 long tables. Each seats six and is 20" X 72". Seating is provided by ladderback chairs and benches on the upper tier. There are an additional four long folding tables in the building. We do not move in or move out tables and additional tables are available from outside vendors. Seating for about 100 persons is the maximum we recommend.
