Edgar Evins hosts Millennium Trail Nature Hike

Join the ranger for a morning hike on our most popular trail. Learn some fun and historical facts about the parks plants, animals and history. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Meet at the Millennium trailhead at 9 a.m. CT. This moderate hike is approximately 2.5 miles long. For more information call 931-858-2114 or 800-250-8619.

Western Wallflower Cruise

May 19 – May 25

Join park rangers and the seasonal naturalist for daily boat tours to view a magnificent display of this infrequent Tennessee wildflower, and other species endemic to the limestone bluffs on Center Hill Reservoir. Be sure to arrive prepared for sun and rain exposure, and to bring your binoculars and camera. Bottled water and a bagged lunch also recommended, as we will stop for lunch on the shoreline. The cruise is $10 per seat for adults and $5 per seat for children 12 and under to be paid on arrival. Meet at the courtesy dock near the cabins. Boat will leave promptly at 10 a.m. CT. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure. This ride lasts for approximately three hours including our stop for lunch. Limit 12 people per tour. Sorry, no children under three years of age. Edgar Evins hosts Independence Day Campsite Decoration Contest

Join the Friends of Edgar Evins State Park for the 2nd annual campsite decoration contest. Show your patriotism while competing in this fun event. In addition, a variety of holiday programs will be presented by the park rangers over the weekend.

Edgar Evins hosts 9th Annual History Hayride

Bring your blanket for a hayride back into time as the Friends of Edgar Evins and park staff bring history alive. There will be approximately 10 stops along the route where a cast of colorful characters will reveal the history of the area and its people. Reservations are required and the cost is $15 per person. Edgar Evins hosts 13th Annual Friends Group Pontoon Boat Color Cruise

Cruise beautiful Center Hill Lake with the Friends of Edgar Evins. If Mother Nature cooperates fall foliage will be ablaze and guests can take in views of lake homes and historical landmarks such as the former Potato Cave. Tours are approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours long. Sorry, no children under age 3 years. Cost is $15 per person and reservations are required. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Edgar Evins.
