Bicentennial Capitol Mall hosts Country Music Marathon

One of the best places to view both the full and half Country Music Marathon is at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Bring a picnic lunch or eat at one of the many shops at Farmers Market. This annual race kicks off around 7 a.m. CT and continues through the early afternoon. The race is one of Nashville’s top events, attracting people from all over the United States. 7th Annual Walk Me Home 5K

The 7th Annual Walk Me Home 5K Walk/Run raises awareness of the children in foster care in Tennessee and helps fund the Walk Me Home Enrichment Fund, which provides financial assistance for a variety of special needs and activities, such as camps, musical instruments/lessons, school/church trips and medical assistive devices. The race is sponsored by the National Foster Parent Association in partnership with the Tennessee Foster Adoptive Care Association. Bicentennial Capitol Mall hosts Vintage Base Ball

Grab a lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of baseball fun. Vintage base ball (two words) is a reflection of how baseball (one word, the modern game) existed at an earlier time. These vintage games are guided by the 1864 edition of Beadle’s Dime Base-Ball Player and begin at noon. Additional dates: June 29, July 13, August 10, August 24.
