Personal kayaks and canoes can be launched to the Nolichuckey River from designated access points within the park. For larger boats and ease of launching, a boat ramp is available during park hours and is located at the south end of the park near the mouth of the Big Limestone Creek.
The Davy Crockett Birthplace pool is open from Memorial Day until late summer. Admission is $5 per person, $3 for campers. A diving well with two, one-meter boards is available. Picnic tables and a drink machine are nearby.
Trails range from easy to moderate, providing beautiful views and ample opportunities for wildlife and wildflower viewing.

The Nolichucky flows through the park and provides fishing opportunities for a variety of fresh water species. Smallmouth bass and catfish are popular catches. Bank fishing and wade fishing can provide good catches. Bait, tackle, snacks and state fishing licenses are for sale at nearby off-park locations.
