February Programs and Activities

All Day

Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations BY THE DEADLINE LISTED. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.

All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed. Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).

Age limits are definite – please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given. Call 931-648-5526 for reservations.

**Programs will be canceled in case of extreme cold or ice/snow**


Wednesday, February 10

3:00 PM to 4:00 PM - PORT ROYAL TRAIL OF TEARS - Ages  7 - adult
Join us to learn about Port Royal Historic Area’s Trail of Tears section.  Meet at River Bottom Trail parking lot.
RESERVATIONS BY 4:30 February 9.  Program Leader:  Adam Neblett, Ranger

Friday, February 12

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM - PORT ROYAL HISTORY WALK - Ages 8 to adult
Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area.  Meet at the upper parking lot (beside the Masonic Lodge).
RESERVATIONS BY 4:30 February 10.

Monday, February 15

11:00 AM to Noon - RIVER BOTTOM TRAIL at PORT ROYAL - All Ages
Walk through the winter woods on this ½ mile hike. Meet at River Bottom Trail parking lot.
RESERVATIONS BY 4:30 February 13.

10:30 AM to 11:30 AM - RIVER BOTTOM TRAIL at PORT ROYAL - All Ages

9:00 AM to10:00 AM - BIRDING PORT ROYAL - Ages:  Adult  
Bring binoculars and learn the birds that call this area home for the winter. Meet at Visitor Center parking lot.
RESERVATIONS BY 4:30 February 22.
